HISTORY

Mikahou INC was organized in March 1973 for the purpose of warehousing and distributing general commodities within the Greater Southern California area. Early operations began in Anaheim, California in a leased dry warehouse. By the end of the first fiscal year, our space doubled, and plans were initiated for new facilities. In December 1974, operations began at our new multi-temp Anaheim, CA warehouse. In June 1975, “full service” became a reality with the opening of the Brea, CA facility developed specifically for frozen food storage and distribution. In 1984, DSW expanded our multi-temperature services into two other cities in Southern California with company-owned land & warehouses servicing the entire USA. In 1985, DSW’s second generation leadership began redesigning DSW’s service offerings, obtaining specialized licensing, and enhancing Information Technology Systems to meet the ever-changing demands of logistics and supply chain challenges.

TODAY, under this same second generation leadership, DSW operates over 6,500,000 cubic feet of multi-temperature controlled & multi-licensed warehousing space in Southern California’s primary distribution hub of Rancho Cucamonga California, otherwise known as the Inland Empire.
Key to our growth has been the development of individuals into a competent and proactive management team committed to our goal of “offering our growing base of customers the very best service and cost-effective logistics programs available on the West Coast”

Location: Excellent distribution Hub in Southern California at Interstates I-10 and I-15. Major truckstop and scales just minutes away! Local scales next door to our facility! Heavy activity from LA/LB area ports and major LTL / courier companies in the area daily. A favorite Customer Pickup Program of Distributors and Retailers!

RANCHO CUCAMONGA DISTRIBUTION CENTERS AMBIENT, AIR CONDITIONED AND COLD STORAGE.

DSW MAIN Facility: 200,000 square feet; 25 ‘airlock’ dock doors; Two ground level doors, single-story, cement-tilt structures built in 1986; Coolers at 160,000 square feet. Complete facility & cooler upgrades in 2017 and 2021! Facility validated and licensed for Pharmaceuticals, Organics & Kosher Food Products, and Alcoholic Beverages. SQF GSFI Level 2 Certified! Excellent Scores at 100/100, 100/100 & 99/100!
Rail Service: Double Rail Spur on Burlington Northern Sante Fe (BNSF); Ten rail-car spots available.
Temperatures: (1) Biotech at 2 – 8 degrees Celsius; (2)34 – 40 degrees Fahrenheit; (3) Five Levels of Air Conditioned > 59, <70, < 77, < 86 degrees and (4) ambient. All temp-alarmed, secure, video cameras & motion sensors. Backup Power Generation & Potable Water Programs for Emergency Preparedness.
Security: Tyco U.L. Certified, digital video cameras, lasers & motion, ‘point’ contact; six-gauge steel cage; ID badge program for employees and visitors. FDA Validation Food Defense Program.
Sprinklers: High Density Wet System, 0.60 over 3,000, 130 PSI average; Title 17, 18 and 19 certified.
Racking: Narrow-Aisle 3-5 high seismic rated racking in cooler, air-conditioning, and ambient sections. Bulk Floor Storage.
Pest Control: Internal cGMP documented; Third party support by Industrial Fumigant Corporation.
